Important CAEC Notes

Former GED Test Takers

If you passed any 2002 Canadian Test Series GED exams before the CAEC transition, you may be able to apply those results through Prior Learning and Achievement Recognition (PLAR) until May 2027.

CAEC Completion Rule

If you use PLAR for prior GED results, you must still complete and pass at least one CAEC exam alongside your recognized GED subjects to qualify for the full CAEC credential.

Scheduling Limitation

You cannot write all five CAEC tests in one day. Each subject and date must be scheduled separately.

Accommodations

Candidates requesting accommodations for documented medical conditions or extenuating circumstances must submit supporting documents for jurisdictional review.
